Tank one is a dedicated Jacobi catalytic carbon tank. With its own full media bed it treats chlorine, chloramine, organic chemicals, taste and odor at full strength, and the MSP ceramic disc valve backwashes it clean on schedule, something most dual-tank systems never do for the carbon side.
Tank two holds high-capacity 10% crosslinked resin that trades calcium and magnesium out of your water. Because it doesn't share a vessel with carbon, the bed is deeper, the contact time longer, and the capacity higher for big households and heavy water use.
A single MSP ceramic disc valve controls both tanks and backwashes them automatically. Ceramic sealing discs don't score, swell or tear like the rubber seals in piston valves, so the system stays leak-free without service calls.
